When I decided to train to be a micropigmentation technician I researched extensively on the internet to ensure I chose the best training possible. There were so many trainers claiming to be the best but when compared to the reputation, level of training and commitment to quality that Andrew Stassi was offering the other schools just didn't come close.
Andrew Stassi is a true professional and provided me with an excellent manual and plenty of hands on experience which gave me the confidence and skill to perform these procedures to a very high standard. If anyone is interested in learning this skill Smudge-Free is the school.

I came to the Smudge-Free Training School having already completed an education programme with another company. I didn't feel at all confident with the level of training I had received and decided I needed to look for further training. I took my time and I did a lot of research into my options as I didn't want to make any more costly mistakes. I knew I was not interested in taking short cuts, I was not interested in "glossy commercialised" companies, I was prepared to work hard to become a Micropigmentation technician, but needed to find the best person to train with. I decided the best was Andrew Stassi.
Andrew has a wealth of knowledge in semi permanent cosmetics, but not only that, he is committed and passionate about his work, and he approaches everything he does with 100% dedication. Training courses are informative, well structured and most importantly on an individual basis. Having completed a training course with other students I can honestly say that in my opinion, one to one instruction is the only way to train to achieve your full potential. The techniques outlined on the course are second to none, and the ongoing encouragement, support and advice are invaluable.
If you have the commitment and desire to succeed in semi permanent cosmetics, Andrew Stassi can give you the tools and the knowledge to become a skilled technician, but you need to be prepared to work hard. I did, and now with everything I have learned with Andrew, I have the confidence to say that my work is better than most other technicians out there who have probably been working a lot longer than I have. Training with Smudge-Free was the best decision I could have made.

My name is Julia Dawson; I qualified as a beauty therapist in 1979 and fifteen years ago I decided to train in semi-permanent make-up. As you can imagine I have seen the industry grow and thankfully improve over time.
The first method I worked with consisted of a small gun-type needle holder that was battery operated with only one speed. There was no knowledge of needle depth in the skin then. Pigments were very limited to just a few basic brow, lip and eye colours with a couple of highlighters.
Consequently, most clients including myself now bare the legacy of permanent tattoo that has turned ginger!
The second method by comparison was miraculous. All the equipment was a better standard, mains operated with the facility to adjust needle length etc. Much more was now known about the art of semi-permanent make-up. However, technology does not stand still, thank goodness; and after several mostly trouble-free years, health and safety laws tightened warranting another upgrade.
After some research I changed to Smudge-Free Semi-permanent Cosmetics in May 2006. I was and still am very impressed with the quality of the equipment and the work protocol.
The work I am now creating is so precise with far superior results to anything I have done before. In fact a client merely makes a return check-up visit after a month!
At this moment in time I cannot see how semi-permanent make-up can possibly improve. I shall definitely be staying with Smudge-Free Semi-permanent Cosmetics and I have been back to see Andrew for more advanced training.

Just a few words to thank you for the training and support you provided with your company Smudge-free. I looked at many training providers before deciding to go with you and enjoyed the one-to-one teaching approach. I think your standards are very high and they need to be in this line of work, but sadly not every training provider’s standards match yours and I’m sure I made the right choice. I know even now you’re just on the other end of the phone if I need any help with anything.
Thanks again

I really got what I wanted and much more when I trained with Smudge Free.
Andrew Stassi was and is a fantastic trainer. He is clear and precise, always letting you know when you have done right, wrong and how to improve yourself and that’s exactly what you need. He watches you like a hawk!
The one to one attention and care that I was given and still receive to this day (after training my first course in 2005 and advanced course in 2007 in
Semi-permanent cosmetics) I believe is the best and I am quite a hard person to please!
Andrew I would like to thank you because I believe without your training and support, I would not be so successful and happy in my job. I love it and it has given me great confidence once again.

My name is Marie Hill. I have owned a busy salon for six years and recently
have taken over another busy city-centre salon.
This time I decided to bring semi-permanent make-up into my salons to boost the takings.
I looked into many different machines and companies and came in contact with Andrew from Smudge-Free about 18 months ago.
When I first met Andrew I felt at ease with him, he went into great detail about the machine and his experience, but did not hard sell, he even told me to go away and look into as many machines and training schools in great depth.
If I then felt he was the right person to train me, then to go back to him. It was then I knew I would be seeing him again. I did as he said and I looked into many different machines, but nobody gave me the confidence that Andrew did.
My training with Andrew was fantastic. I felt very nervous on my drive down to London, but as soon as I was in Andrew’s company I felt comfortable.
I will not lie, my training was hard work, but I loved every minute of it and two days flew by.
We started with back ground knowledge about the machine, semi-permanent make-up, products and hygiene. We then went on to practice different techniques for eyebrows then it was practice, practice, practice until my client came. I felt so nervous to start with, but Andrew soon made me feel so relaxed and confident.
The following day, I was shown how to do lip techniques which are totally different to eyebrow techniques. Again I was given the confidence by Andrew to perform on a client that same afternoon.
My training was the best I have ever had and I have done many courses, Andrew is so talented.
Once I got home I started my case studies, which took some time, as you have to do five eyebrows and five lips before returning for the eyeliner training. I completed my case study fairly quickly though, as I was very determined not to take for ever to pass and I really wanted to learn the eyeliner procedure.
I went back to London soon after to complete the second half of my training.
Doing eyeliner was not as scary as I first thought it would be, although I do believe this has a lot to do with Andrew and the confidence he instils in you.
Once I completed my training it was back home to finish my case studies. I pulled as many friends and family as I needed and it didn’t take long at all as I just wanted to pass. My hard work paid off because I passed when I saw him next, he has very high standards.
Since training with Andrew my business has soared. I no longer do any other treatments in the salon as I am stacked out with semi-permanent make-up clients.
I do regular advertising in the free paper, but most of my new clients come from referral.
Semi-permanent is undoubtedly the best business move I have ever made and meeting Andrew, who is always at the end of the phone to help, give advice and support when ever needed has to be one of the best moves of my career!
