Healed - 4 Weeks After Third Session

Scar camouflage has come a long way with the development of new techniques and pigments which can almost make the
scars invisible. This can only be achieved by a good technician who knows how to use
various tones and implantation techniques with skill.
The procedure can be used to camouflage plastic surgery tell-tell signs, general surgery scars,
accident scars or areas of skin which do not have a uniform pigmentation, such as Viltiligo
(a condition where one has patchy pigmentation on the skin).
Scar camouflage treatment is not recommended for those who suffer wuth Keloid scarring (raised scars which spread beyond
the original injury point) which is a condition mostly affecting the Afro- Caribbean community since
the trauma will most likely exacerbate the condition.
These three images are of a client who had undergone cosmetic surgery to the face. She had a facelift
which left her with very visible scarring.
Post any kind of surgery it is important to allow the wounds to completely heal before attempting any
camouflage treatment. In this case the client had fully recovered after nine months and then had a
series of three camouflage sessions.
As you can see the results are very satisfactory and appear almost invisible. The treatment was carried
out using three different tones which were blended in the skin to give a mottled effect rather than a
single monotone shade.
Advanced paramedical techniques can almost make scars invisible and this requires the utmost skill
and training so choose your instructor or your technician carefully.
