Beauty marks are placed in an area where one wants to draw attention. Today many women prefer to have a beauty mark on their face. The ideal and most flattering positions are around the eye and mouth area. For the eye area the ideal position would be high up on the cheekbone just below the outside corner of the eye as illustrated in the image. For the mouth the ideal position would be at the corner of the mouth either above the top lip or below the lower lip. Beauty marks can be placed over an existing freckle, but you should never tamper with raised moles as this can be dangerous. Any moles which change in size or become itchy should be examined by a skin specialist sooner rather than later to rule out anything sinister.
